Microsoft offers the Surface Pro 9, a brand-new take on the Surface Pro sequence. Equipped with either a Core i5-1235U or Core i7-1255U, the Surface Pro 9 comes in 4 colors, with as much as 1 TB of storage and 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
Surface Pro 9
Microsoft has introduced the Surface Pro 9, a modest replacement for the Surface Pro 8. The laptop retains its predecessor's 13-inch show, which natively operates at 2,880 x 1,920 pixels, 120 Hz, and a 3:2 aspect ratio.
While the laptop weighs 879 grams, the Surface Pro 8 is 11 grams lighter. Additionally, Microsoft has upgraded the Surface Pro lineup to an Alder Lake processor, albeit not a 28-watt component like the Surface Pro Eight.
Surface Pro 9 Hardware
Instead, the Pro 9 relies on Alder Lake-Eu sequence components. Specifically, the Surface Pro 9 comes with a Core i5-1235U or Core i7-1255U, plus eight GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
Moreover, Microsoft offers the system 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB detachable storage. Surface Pro 9 supports Windows Hello authentication and Microsoft's Surface Connect port.
Incidentally, Microsoft includes two additional USB Type-C ports (USB 4.0/Thunderbolt 4), but the Surface Pro 9 misses out on a 3.5mm headphone jack.
According to Microsoft, the Pro 9 should last up to 15:30 hours on the 47.7 Wh battery, which is likely a robust battery estimate. As expected, the laptop is available in Platinum, Sapphire, Forest, and Graphite colors.
The laptop is available to order in several markets and can begin shipping within the US on October 25. Conversely, the system won't be accessible in UK favorites until early November.
